I took a thirty minute stroll through Hyde Park this afternoon. Here is the "beach" in Hyde Park...being a California gal, I could only shake my head in disbelief when I saw these flimsy lawn chairs under grey overcast London sky... If I were Nelson from the Simpsons, I'd point at these ultra pale Londoners and be like, Haha!
Rugby at Hyde Park... British men are kinda, meh, I am putting this picture here as filler...
I am temporarily obsessed with grilled fish in London. I had grilled john dory, sea bass, and now dover sole, in the span of three days here. The John Dory was the best, maybe I'll go back tomorrow and get it again, so tender and slightly charred and slightly salted.
The mussels were good too, though in this picture they look slightly demented, esp the one on the lower right. They are smaller than the American variety, very tender, not chewey, and the white wine sauce was divine!
It's almost 9:30pm and yet it's still fairly bright outside. This is outside my hotel, without any street light. The days are long here, it gets bright at 5am, and only gets completely dark at around 10pmish.
Ok, hope to be home soon, though I may take a flight to Hong Kong on Friday instead... we'll see.

For the love of god, have the hotel make you a steak and kidney pie already! :)
Noooo...and my colleagues got to go to a really good sushi restaurant last night and a really good italian place tonight, and I am here typing away... wahhh!
Why in the name of all that is good and holy are you eating alone in your hotel room? Go out! Put on a dress and some sassy shoes and have a night on the town. Scope out the nightlife, maybe hear some music, chat up some nice gents...
Although from the looks of it, that person will have pasty legs. Augh, I'm blinded.
Not because I want to stay behind -- I have to work! It's incredibly busy when I travel, I have meetings during the day and then I have to draft documents at night to document the meetings. I sleep 3-4 hours a night, no time to go out :-(
