Grey townsquare... there are so many bicyclists in this city, it's like an European Beijing or something.

Scandalous Copenhagen
A hotel room with a view ... the hotel has good reviews on tripadvisor, and the neighborhood is totally legit... but alas, I have Lady Love as my neighbor.

Father's Office in Culver City
Nice entrance... it was a rainy night, but still super crowded.
Beer Tap Handles -- love them, kinda artistic huh?
And they serve -- Chinese Muslim food. Sorry the food was so delicious at Father's Office that I forgot to take pics. Def get the duck confit salad if you are there. Anyhoo, the below dishes are from a Chinese Muslim restaurant we went to this weekend. It's called Ma's Chinese Islamic Restaurant.

Airplane Food
When I do personal travels, like everybody else, I fly economy. A few months ago, I was fortunate to get a free upgrade on ANA... and of course, the airplane food is true to the Japanese spirit, delicate and very much detail oriented...
First course, anchovies and olives... with very good Japanese green tea on the side.
Veggies! Wonder why Asian people are fit... here is why, lots of veggies, and look at the variety!
Main course: sea bass and you guessed it, veggies! You also get miso soup and some white rice to get your carbs.
Now, some excellent ice cream to clean the palate. Good job ANA!

What would Chairman Mao think?
While I was in the shuttle on my way back to downtown Seattle...I noticed a strange phenomenon -- most of the cars in Seattle are Hondas, Toyotas, Kias and Hyundais... and I thought to myself, why do they have so many peasant-y cars? Baby Catmobile only eats premium non-leaded gasoline, and it only sleeps in covered garages next to other Beemers or Benzes...
Then I batted my eyes and thought to myself ... I don't think I am a proletariat anymore. I've betrayed my revolutionary roots. What would Chairman Mao think?

UBC
Si Melon and dried shrimp, one of my favorite dishes, especially when I have spicy Sichuanese foods...
Pig's blood, intestine and sour veggies... yum yum yum, if you throw in some stinky tofu, you'll have the chou chou pot, or stinky stinky pot...
After stuffing ourselves with si melons and pigs blood and intestines... we headed over to the University of British Columbia. We drove around a bit and eventually stopped at the Asia Centre, where they erected some tablets in honor of Confucius... boys, repeat after me, Confucius says -- Happy Wife, Happy Life, so be good to your wives/girlfriends :P
Anyhoo, we walked in munching on dried fruits and randomly chatted with some Chinese students rehearsing for a talent show. Oh, here is the garden outside the centre, it's kind of like a Chinese/Japanese fusion garden. Pretty zen huh?
Road less traveled...
